Our theme for 2008 is in honor of our feathered friends.
The Russell County Fair features an array of events, something for everyone of any age to enjoy. Events include a carnival, scholarship pageant, horse shows, bull riding, livestock events, horseless cowboy contest, car show, demolition derby, antique tractor pull, truck and modified tractor pull, paintball tournament, pet show, and entertainment showcasing local and nationally known entertainers including country, bluegrass and gospel performances
Southwest Virginia's own Grammy Award Winning Ralph Stanley performs annually at the Russell County Fair and Horse Show. The Russell County Fair and Horse Show draws its crowd from local, regional, interstate and international venues
