Thank you for making the 2010 Russell County Fair a success. The theme for the 2011 fair is "Stirrup Some Fun at the Russell County Fair and Horse Show. Many fun activities are planned, so keep your eye out for all the news!!!! More 2011 fair information will be coming soon.

The Russell County Fair and Horse Show is held annually the first week in September at the Russell County Fairgrounds in Castlewood, Virginia. The Russell County Fair and Horse Show features an array of events, something for everyone of any age to enjoy. Events include a carnival, scholarship pageant, horse shows, bull riding, livestock events, horseless cowboy contest, car show, demolition derby, antique tractor pull, truck and modified tractor pull, paintball tournament, pet show, and entertainment showcasing local and nationally known entertainers including country, bluegrass and gospel music performances.

The Russell County Fair and Horse Show is THE event to attend. The fair showcases Russell County with its scenic rolling mountains as a backdrop, our mountain heritage, commercial exhibits and arts and crafts. For more information you may contact the Russell County Fair office at 276.762.2261.
